God never changes.
Parents: The parent and child scheduled for this week will lead us in singing on Sunday. Please take time to practice the songs together at home, helping your child feel confident and joyful as they prepare to lead.
Parents: Please encourage your children to bring an offering to church. You may help your child prepare by setting aside a coin for them to bring on Sunday. This is a great opportunity to teach them about giving to God with a thankful heart and trusting Him to provide.
Offering is when we give something to God to show our love and thankfulness. In church, we often give money as an offering, but we can also give our time, talents, and kindness to God and others.
1️⃣ To Thank God – Everything we have comes from God! Giving back is a way to say, “Thank You, God!”
2️⃣ To Trust God – When we give, we show that we trust God to take care of us.
3️⃣ To Help Others – Offerings help the church teach about Jesus, help people in need, and share God’s love.
The Bible says in 2 Corinthians 9:7,
"God loves a cheerful giver!" That means God is happy when we give with a joyful heart!
Prayer for Offering 🙏
"Dear God, thank You for giving us everything we need. We want to give back to You with joyful hearts. Please use our offering to help others and share Your love. Help us to always trust You. In Jesus’ name, Amen!"
“God is our refuge 🏰 (make hands like a house)
*and strength,” 💪 (flex muscles)
a very present 👀 (point to eyes)
help in trouble.” 🚨 (wave hands like an alarm)
🎭 Activity: Show two pictures of yourself (one as a child, one as an adult) or hold up a baby doll and a grown-up doll.
Ask: “Do people change as they grow up?” (Yes!)
“What are some ways we change?” (We grow taller, learn new things, change likes/dislikes.)
Say: “Everything in the world changes, but today we will learn about Someone who NEVER changes!”
📖 Malachi 3:6a – “For I the LORD do not change.”
🔹 Everything Around Us Changes
“Look outside! What season is it?” (Let kids answer.)
“Seasons change. Trees look different in summer and winter.” 🌳🍂❄
“People change too! Babies grow into adults, and we all get older.”
🔹 But God Never Changes!
“Even though people, seasons, and things change, God always stays the same!”
“He was strong before, and He is still strong today!” 💪
“He loved us before, and He still loves us today!” ❤️
“He made promises in the Bible, and He will always keep them!” 📖
🔹 Jesus is the Same Forever
📖 Hebrews 13:8 – “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.”
“Jesus loved people when He was on earth, and He still loves us now!”
“Jesus saved people back then, and He still saves us today!”
Say it together with hand motions:
“For I the LORD” (point up)
“do not change.” (shake head “no”)
“What are some things that change?” (People, weather, toys, feelings.)
“Does God ever change?” (No!)
“How does it make you feel knowing God never changes?” (Secure, hope, etc.)
Ask: “Have you ever had a friend change their mind about something? How did it feel?”
Show a piece of worn-out clothing or a broken toy: “Things in life change, but today we’ll hear about someone who trusted in a God who NEVER changes!”
(Use storytelling props, dramatic expressions, or even simple role-play to make it engaging!)
💡 Set the Scene:
Daniel was a man who loved God and prayed to Him every day, no matter what!
King Darius liked Daniel and planned to make him an important ruler, but some jealous men tricked the king into signing a law: “Anyone who prays to a god besides the king will be thrown into the lions’ den!”
💡 Daniel’s Unchanging Faith:
Did Daniel stop praying? No!
He knew that God never changes, so he kept praying just as he had always done.
The wicked men saw Daniel and told the king. King Darius was sad, but he had to follow his own law.
Daniel was thrown into the lions’ den! 🦁
💡 God’s Unchanging Protection:
That night, the king couldn’t sleep. Would Daniel’s God save him?
In the morning, King Darius rushed to the den and called out: “Daniel, has your God saved you?”
Daniel answered, “Yes! My God sent an angel to shut the lions’ mouths!”
God didn’t change! He was still powerful, still in control, and still able to protect His people.
💡 Wrap-Up:
The king was amazed! He made a new law: “Daniel’s God is the living God, and His kingdom will last forever!” (Daniel 6:26)
God NEVER changes—He is always strong, always faithful, always trustworthy!
